Adam McKay and Paul Rudd creddited for "Ant-Man" script

Shortly before principle photography of Marvel's upcoming film Ant-Man, Edgar Wright departed due to creative differences. Afterwards, Marvel brought on writer Adam McKay to rewrite the script, and have it fit within the tone that they have set with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some questions arose as to whether Edgar Write and Joe Cornish would still remain credited as the screenplay writer, or if Adam McKay significantly changed the script to obtain the credit for himself.

Now with the first trailer released yesterday, Disney put out a press release that has confirmed the later. Now Adam McKay as well as Paul Rudd have now been officially credited as the screenwriters for the 2015 comic book film. Now Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish are credited with the story.

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “Ti” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Jordi Mollà, and Michael Peña. Ant-Man opens in theaters in 3D July 17, 2015.
